Valdicava has a spot among the elite producers of Brunello di Montalcino due in part to Vincenzo Abbruzzese’s changes to his grandparents’ winery. In addition to tending 10 hectares of vines in one of the cooler parts of Montalcino, Vincenzo has also rebuilt his grandparents’ cellar, replacing the huge botti with stainless steel vats and oak casks.
