On Saturday, April 16, New York Vintners will be presenting two of Zev Robinson's documentaries. The first is Spanish Gold, about olive oil and its production https://vimeo.com/122947299, will be followed a presentation of some of Spain's very best Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
This will be followed by the 55 minute documentary Spanish Grapes https://vimeo.com/157257779, about the history and culture of wine in Spain which will be shown in segments, with a wine and matching dish served at each interval. Both the documentary and the wines will show the great diversity of Spain's regions, grape varieties and wine styles.
Zev Robinson is a Canadian-British artist and filmmaker living in Spain, and has been directing a series of documentaries on Spanish food, wine, agriculture and sustainability since 2008. These now form part of The Art and Poltics of Eating project that will include screenings, exhibitions of his food-related paintings, food and wine dinners, presentations on food, wine, and sustainability, and more.
