Blind Tasting: Old World vs. New World - May 27 (7PM) (ADV)

With its focus on the sensory analysis and identification of the positive and negative characteristics in wine, blind tasting develops and expands your individual wine preferences. Discovering Your Palate encourages you to enjoy wine without being caught up in the expectations of a producer, price, or reputation and delve into the characteristics of the common grape varieties.

What do the terms Old World and New World mean in relation to wine and how you enjoy it? Join us as we taste through a flight of 6 wines and discover what type of flavors really interest you. Learn what terms like mineral, earthy, barnyard, fruity, tannic, and other useful wine descriptors really mean to you and see which ones you prefer. You might be surprised.....

Class Time: 1.5 to 2 hours

Number of Wines: 1 Sparkling, 2 Whites, 4 Reds

Food Served: Light Antipasto.
