Domaine des Grecaux

Isabelle and Alain Caujolle-Gazet bought this domaine in 1997. Located in the small town of Saint Jean de Fos in Montpeyroux, the soil is almost entirely solid rock limestone, which is not ideal for growing Syrah and Grenache. The grapes struggle to gain any sort of ripeness with results in wines that dense, jammy, and stony all at the same time.
