Bruciata

Situated along the Rio Sordo cru of Barbaresco, the Balbo family have long owned prestigious plots and until recently sold most of their premium fruit to prominent local winemakers. They have modernized their cellar and hired ex-Gaja vineyard manager, Frederico Curtaz, as well as employing the services of winemaker Guido Martinetti. In addition to two cru Barbarescos and a Barbaresco normale, the estate produces small amounts of Dolcetto and Langhe Nebbiolo.
