The Reynaud family of Chateau Rayas dates back to 1880 when Albert Reynaud first purchased the estate after changing professions. The legend of the Chateau grew under grandson Jacques, who died in 1997. Nephew Eammanuel now runs the 11 hectare Chateau which is uniquely planted almost exclusively to Grenache vines. The extreme concentration and complexity that develop in a bottle of Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf-du-Pape are often unmatched.
