Antinori
The lineage of the Antinori family in Tuscany can be traced all the way back to the 13th century. Overtime winemaking transitioned into the primary family business. With the first vintage of Villa Antinori Chianti Classico debuting in 1928, and the birth of Piero to follow, the Antinori name expanded both within the Italian borders and beyond. By planting international varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Semillion, and Piero's tremendous marketing abilities, Antinori helped to lead the revolution in modern, quality Italian wine. Today, with nearly 1,400 hectares of vineyards spanning from Tuscany to Orvieto, Antinori produces high quality wine from Chianti Classico, Montepulciano, Orvieto, and Bolgheri and others.
