After years of making wine for such wineries as Chalk Hill and Dominus Estate, David Ramey finally established his own Ramey Wine Cellars in 1996. Ramey has been acknowledged to be among the wine pioneers in California, and helped to create a new California style that was more ripe, rich and ush than previously known. At his own estate, Ramey employs artisan winemaking techniques and ripe fruit from the best vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County to create the elegance and richness he so desires.
