France is a country with a long and rich history in wine production. First cultivated by the Greeks in 600 BC, France now produces more fine wine than any other country. There are five main wine regions in France: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire, and Rhone, which are situated throughout the country's very diverse geography, lending to it's wide range of complex grapes and vines. Wine-makers from around the world often reference French vignerons for their aptitude and knowledge of the vine.
