In the eastern part of Austria and home to some of the finest and most concentrated Gruner Veltliners and Rieslings. The town of Langenlois is the center of the region named after the river Kamp. The climate is largely continental with cold winters and warm to hot summers. Kamptal is also where some of Austria's best and most respected producers are centered i.e. Schloss Gobelsburg, Brundlmeyer, Hirsch, Angerer, etc.
